If there is a better introduction to drawing for young children than with Ed Emberley’s books, I don’t know what it is. His step by step instructions allow anyone who can draw simple lines and circles to create wonderful drawings. These books are ideal for ages 4-11, but don’t be surprised to find yourself on the floor drawing away with your kids. Mr. Emberley’s books are full of charming drawings of everything from monsters to fire trucks. Kids beam with pride and enthusiasm when they see what they’ve created with these books.

Emigrating from Germany with my ancestors, this timeless classic has been enjoyed generations of our family. This collection of ten rhymes was written and illustrated by Heinrich Hoffmann in 1844 as a Christmas present for his 3 year old son. Translated as "slovenly" or "shock-headed" Peter, it has since gone through hundreds of editions and been published in almost every European language.
