Making the Sky Bird - Page 3 Step 8  To make nose ballast, valley fold piece B in half horizontally. Glue halves together. Valley fold in half vertically. Glue halves together. Then valley fold in half horizontally. Glue halves together. Finally, valley fold in half vertically. Step 9  Glue this piece to the bottom center of the fuselage, aligning at one of the ends. This end becomes the front. Step 8  Measure 1" from front of fuselage and mark the point, as shown. Step 9  Glue wings and tail to the fuselage with the leading edge (front of the wings) at the measured point. Make sure pieces are centered. Adjust dihedral (upward slanting of wings and tail) again.
